2NE1がFAULT Magazineに掲載されたCLBOMDARAMINZY2NE1FOR ANYONECLFault You’ve been working with designer Jeremy Scott for Adidas How has that collaboration been going?CL Jeremy Scott really understands 2NE1 and has been our friend since our debut, so the collaboration went really well It was our first real collaboration with a designer, so it was very meaningful for usFault If you could work with any musical artist or band, who would it be and why?CL There are a lot of people we want to work with but, at the moment, we are at the stage where we want to develop as a group and focus on 2NE1 When we feel that we are ready, we will look to other artists with whom to collaborateFault 2NE1 has such a unique style, Has fashion always been important to all of you?CL We feel that fashion and music complement each other It expresses our individuality and plays an important role [in] making us shine on stageFault Where do your fashion influences come from? Do you have any favorite designers?CL I am influenced by everything around me, the environment, music, lifestyle, and nature — they all play an important part I am inspired every day, [especially] when I travel overseas Currently, Jeremy Scott and Chrome Hearts are my favorite designersBOMFault How have fans reacted to the New Evolution tour?BOM We’ve received good reviews from the fans, because they really enjoyed the large scale of the tour Every time I see that, I feel really happy, and I thank everyone that’s worked really hard to make this happenFault How does it feel to be the first Korean girl band to headline a global tour?BOM At first I felt pressure, but it honestly just made us work even harder We are proud, because everyone is reacting positively We’ll have to work even harder now!Fault You rehearsed and trained as a group for about four years prior to your first release Do you think all that formal training played a key role in your success?BOM Of course–YG [Entertainment, the record label and talent agency behind 2NE1] doesn’t necessarily teach you a special way of doing things they let you develop naturally and find out who you are as an artist I feel that this really helped me personally and has played a key role in our successFault What was it like for you the first time you heard your song being played on the radio or saw your first video?BOM The memory is still fresh in my head Our training period was really long, but it was all well worth it We felt very excited and were desperate to start performing and sharing more music with everyone!DARAFault How are you doing? How’s the tour going?DARA I’m doing great! We completed our concerts in Seoul and the US and are now moving on to the Japanese leg of the tour We want to meet our fans in new countriesFault You have such a large and supportive fan base How does that make you feel as a band?DARA We want to thank everyone who loves and supports 2NE1, regardless of the size of our fan base Unfortunately, we haven’t made it to South America just yet, but we’re looking forward to meeting our South American fans and performing for them in the futureFault What has been a standout moment for you as a group so far?DARA Our standout moment would definitely be our concerts It’s always exciting and fun, and it makes us happy to be able to perform for our fans on stage Our New Evolution tour is even more meaningful due to the fact that it’s a global tourFault What are your plans for the rest of 2012?DARA We plan to continue our current tour and make many fond memories!
